Homes England made the decision to change their requirements for Help to Buy valuations between 2021-2023 from including AssocRICS to just MRICS & FRICS without consultation or informing RICS. We are aware of the implications for AssocRICS members and also for consumers who are disadvantaged due to the smaller pool of valuers and risk of higher fees. 

Meetings have been held with senior people at Homes England however they are currently sticking with this standpoint 

Whilst the RICS continues to work with Homes England and is very keen to try and resolve this for members as well as for the wider public benefit at present there is no clear certainty this will get changed.
