Logging in as an RICS employee
Due to way that the login system works within RICS , there is a difference between logging into systems that are used for internal staff (eg Intranet, RICSPeople, Outlook etc) and those systems accessible to members / customers like My Account , RICS.org , Academy . The internal and external environments are not linked together and it’s not possible to access external facing systems with your usual RICS user id and password.
The myRICS community platform is one of those external systems. Therefore to be able to access it you will need to register / create a separate account on the rics.org website. This will create you a non–member account that is separate from your internal network id/ password.
If you have an existing rics.org account this should work fine, provided you created it with your rics.org email address. The reason we recommend that you use your work email is that this will identify you as a staff member on the community.
If you’re creating a new rics.org account with your work email you will need to use a DIFFERENT password from your employee password. This will ensure secure separation between Community user data & employee data. It’s also important to do this in a Private or Incognito browser window to avoid any conflicts with your existing employee credentials.
