I’ve recently started with Savills in London and I will be joining the graduate scheme come September. Previously, I have studied Business Management & Real Estate at the University of Aberdeen, alongside serving as a RICS Campus Ambassador and Matrics Aberdeen committee member.
What skill have you valued the most as your career has developed and how have you built those skills?
By far, the most valued aspect of my studies and career has been meeting new people in the profession. There are a multitude of specialisms within the built environment, and learning more about how professionals collaborate to best serve clients interests me.
What has been the biggest achievement or project of your career so far?
The biggest achievement of my career so far is completing my RICS-accredited degree and securing a graduate role. I am excited by all the opportunities ahead.
What encouragement would you give to students and the younger generation to get them interested in a career in surveying?
Explore what interests you within the built environment, and then reach out to professionals in that area to learn more. This will help you to expand your network, which can lead to new opportunities
