How to open an InPrivate/Incognito browser window
It's important to use an InPrivate or Incognito browser window to access myRICS community as this will prevent any conflicts with your RICS employee credentials.
On a desktop computer
Using the Microsoft Edge browser
To open an InPrivate window you can:
- Select and hold (right-click) the Microsoft Edge logo in the taskbar and select New InPrivate window
or
- select and hold (right-click) a link and select Open link in InPrivate window
or
- select Settings and more > New InPrivate Window
Using the Google Chrome browser
To open an Incognito window
- At the top right, click More and then New incognito window.
- A new window appears. At the top corner, check for the Incognito icon
You can also use the following keyboard shortcuts to open an Incognito window:
- Windows, Linux or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n
- Mac: Press ⌘
On a mobile device or tablet
iPhone or iPad
- Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
- Tap the Tabs button at the bottom left of your screen
- Tap tabs to display the Tab Groups list
- Tap Private, then tap Done.
Android
- Open Chrome on your Android phone or tablet
- To the right of the address bar, tap More and then New Incognito tab
- A new window should appear, check for the Incognito icon In the top left to make sure
